Plume was a live brief. I created a design that would feature on a full double page front and back cover for a young adult's fictional story anthology.

The brief asked for a cover that was vibrant to look at and something that would inspire young adults in a timeless way. The brief asked for the cover to include an image of a peacock in some shape or form and so I began creating a design that would include an extremely vibrant and detailed peacock illustration. 

 

The final design was created using mixed media such as acrylic painting and digital drawings that were merged together to create the correct vibrancy and detail. The final design includes a peacock and raven in the illustration, this was used to symbolise the idea of 'nom de plume' in other words the differences between the writer as a story teller and also as themselves personally.
